Embedded copper tube liquid cold plate machining is an advanced hybrid thermal management solution, combining the superior thermal conductivity of red copper with the lightweight properties of aluminum. Embedded Tube Cold Plate Fabrication Expertise at VINACNC

The coordination between two different metal materials requires sophisticated machining techniques to achieve peak thermal performance:

  • Tube-in-Plate Technology: Copper tubes carrying the coolant are bent to match pre-milled groove profiles on 6000 Series aluminum extrusions. Calculating micron-level groove tolerances is vital to ensure the copper tube is fully press-fitted using hydraulic technology, eliminating insulating air pockets.

  • Thermal Contact Surface Optimization: After embedding the tube, the heatsink surface is CNC re-milled to achieve ultra-fine surface roughness and absolute flatness. This process allows the heat source (CPU, GPU, or power module) to have the closest possible contact with the copper tube, facilitating instantaneous heat transfer and dissipation.

  • Structural Durability: Unlike welding methods, embedded tube-in-aluminum technology maintains the structural stability of the material, withstanding high flow pressures and extreme temperature fluctuations (from $-40$°C to $150$°C) without leaking.

Professional Export Packaging and Preservation Process

Cold Plate components and liquid radiators require absolute protection of surface flatness and the cleanliness of connectors. VINACNC implements a rigorous international standard packaging process:

  1. Ultrasonic Cleaning: Thoroughly removes residual chips, machining oils, and impurities from the gaps between the copper tube and aluminum using industrial ultrasonic systems.

  2. Oxidation and Contamination Protection: Each cooling plate is wrapped in protective PE film and placed in specialized VCI anti-rust paper to prevent salt-air humidity impacts during transit from Vietnam.

  3. Multi-layer Cushioning: Products are placed in shaped foam trays or thick bubble wrap to eliminate mechanical vibration and impact that could dent the copper tubes or scratch the precision contact surface.

  4. International Standard Crating: Components are packed in fumigated wooden crates (ISPM 15 standard) or high-grammage reinforced cartons with secure strapping.

  5. Traceability Labeling: Clear labeling displaying part codes, specifications, and barcodes for efficient destination logistics control.
